A bunch of small films has released this week and one among them is Eureka. Directed by Karteek Anand, this film features himself as the lead hero. Munna, Dimple Hayathi and Shalini Vadinikatti played the other important roles in it. The movie carried a decent positive buzz before the release. The teaser and trailer impressed everyone. The film has hit the screens today and here is the review of it.
Story: The story of Eureka runs in the backdrop of an engineering college. Revanth (Karteek) and his friends organize the annual culture festival of their college. On the other side, Yuva (Munna) and his gang try to stop it due to the rivalry with Revanth's gang. When these two gangs indulge in fights, an unexpected twist takes place in the story? What is that twist? Who among both the gangs won this fight? forms the crux of the story.
Performances: Even though most of the actors are newcomers, they have performed well. Karteek Anand excelled in his role and emoted well the key sequences. He will definitely impress everyone with his acting. Munna was also equally good in his role. Both of them gave competitive performances. Dimple Hayathi, who sizzled in a song of Gaddalakonda Ganesh, gave a scintillating performance in this movie. Another heroine Shalini also did very well in her character. Seasoned actors like Brahmaji, Shivannarayana and Raghu Babu did justice to their roles.
Technical Aspects: Eureka got made with a small budget and a relatively new cast and crew. Still, the makers maintained good technical standards. NB Vishwakanth, who handled the cinematography, brought good visuals on the big screen. Naresh Kumaran gave amazing music for the film. The background score will stand out in the entire film. The production values were decent and the editing was good as well. The technical team worked hard to come up with a good output that would elevate the film to the next level.
Verdict: The makers managed to tell an engaging story by taking gang wars in an engineering college as a plot point. The interval twist is very nice and comes in as a good surprise. Even the climax was good. It ends the film on the right note. The concept of the film is thrilling and never keeps us away from the proceedings. Even the action scenes got filmed well. On the whole, Eureka makes a good watch with nice youthful elements.
