With all the hype and hysteria over ‘Baahubali 2’, the film opened to packed houses all over the world. It had set the cash registers ringing in all parts of the world and its first day records have a set a new benchmark for Indian films. The total net collections from India is reportedly around 125 crore which is a rare achievement.
Despite being a dubbing film, Hindi version of ‘Baahubali 2’ is on par with Bollywood biggies. It collected over 38 crores and even surpassed films like ‘Dangal’ and ‘Sultan’.
The Telugu version minted over 55 crores from the Telugu states alone which sums up a share of 43 crores approximately. With this, it crossed ‘Khaidi No.150’ with a gigantic margin of 20 crores.
Trade analysts say that, ‘Baahubali 2’ minted over 12 crores from Karnataka, 9 from Kerala and got 11 crores from Tamil Nadu. All in all, the film raked over 125 crores all over India.
In the overseas market, SS Rajamouli’s directorial hit the bull’s eye as it minted over 2.5 million from premieres alone and raked over 2.2 million on Friday which is a historic feat for any Indian film.
