Talented hero Sharwanand is on a roll these days with back-to-back hits like ‘Express Raja’ and ‘Shatamanam Bhavati’. His next film ‘Radha’ is gearing for release on 12th May. The film is touted to be a hilarious entertainer and this what Sharwa had to say about his film. Check it out.
Are you a bit tensed as ‘Radha’ is getting released this week?
Of course! There is a bit of tension as there is a lot of expectation on this film especially post the super success of ‘Shatamanam Bhavati’.
What is the reason behind choosing a commercial film like ‘Radha’?
It is because I got bored of doing serious roles in every film. So, I acted in films like ‘Shatamanam Bhavati’ and ‘Radha’. I still young and have a lot of time to make serious subjects. Currently, my focus is towards simple and hilarious films.
When did this project start?
Frankly, the film started before ‘Shatamanam Bhavati’. As Dil Raju sir felt that ‘Shatamanam’ needs to release on Sankranti, we sidelined this project and started again after Sankranti.
How is your character going to be in this film?
My character is loaded with mass elements and is very interesting. The story completely revolves around this character and is a treat to watch.
Were you apprehensive about the title ‘Radha’?
No! I did not want myself to be projected in a heroic way and named the film Radha. Interestingly, heroine’s name in the film is Radha too and the title is very apt.
Are you enjoying your star status?
I am very happy on the way things are turning out and I am pretty relaxed now. I take one film at a time and am conscious whether my films are entertaining or not.
Did you expect ‘Shatamanam Bhavati’ would become a blockbuster?
We believed in the script very much but never expected such a grand reception. I received so many accolades and thankful to the audience for making the film what it is today.
Finally, why are you not seen on social media?
I don’t know how to use these platforms completely and I think they are taking away so much time from us. I am pretty happy with my career and don’t want to get distracted.
