Sundeep Kishan is one of those heroes who giving more importance to content than the cost. He is currently busy doing good film sin both Telugu as well as Tamil. His upcoming film ‘Shamantakamani’ is gearing up for release this weekend. Let us see what he has to say about this multi-starrer.
Tell us about your role in Shamantakamani
In this film, I play the role of a guy named Kotipally Shiva who runs a theatre. He is a love failure and it is a very entertaining mass character.
Who is the female lead pair with you in this film?
I romance with two heroines in this film. While one is Ananya who is Ms. Australia, the other one is Jenny who is a Telugu girl.
Tell us about this film
It will be very fresh. Director Sriram Adithya wrote the film very well and accordingly the film came out brilliantly. Audience can relate to each and every character. It will be a memorable film in my career.
What are your present commitments?
I am currently working on three films. First film is with Kunal kohli, second one with Manjula madam and other one is Karthik Naren’s ‘Narakasurudu. Krishna Vamsi’s ‘Nakshatram’ is ready for release.
How was it working with a star director like Krishna Vamsi?
It is really a memorable journey and I got to learn a lot of things from him. He had influenced me personally too and I became more peaceful now compared to before.
Is it true that he gives a tough time for actors on sets?
It is his style and he is like a school principal who takes care of everything perfectly. That is why he became such a great director. I am lucky to work with him and I owe a lot to him.
What about your Tamil projects?
I’ve got good name with ‘Maanagaram’ there and it happened when I was going through a low phase. Karthik Naren’s ‘Narakasurudu’ is also a good film and it is produced by Gautham Menon. He messaged me after 11 years and said that he was happy for my success.
Tell us about your film with Kunal Kohli.
He directed many star heroes earlier and I got a chance to work with him now. It is a romantic entertainer. The film gives you a feel of watching life with a steady camera. It is a great experience working with him.
As there are 4 heroes in ‘Shamantakamani’, didn’t you feel any competition between all of you?
Not at all. Director Sriram Adithya and producers handled us in such a way that everyone was comfortable. Even the characters also were given equal importance.
Did you find any difficulty in terms of looks as you are acting in many films at a time?
I planned in such a way that I do one film after another. Also, as I portray massy roles in both ‘Nakshatram’ and ‘Shamantakamani’, the looks were alike. In the same way, as I play a urban and stylish guy in Kunal kohli and Manjula’s films, the looks were the same. This is how I got through this problem.
With this we wrapped up the interview wishing for the best for Sundeep Kishan regarding his future projects.
