With the amount of massive following that Vikram gained in Telugu after the stupendous success of ‘Aparichitudu’, many expected him to get the star status by now. But luck didn’t favour him as none of his film over the last decade became successful in Telugu. Even Shankar failed to give him the much-needed hit with ‘I’.
Nonetheless, he still has a lot of admirers for his acting and experimentation. Now, he pinned huge hopes on his next two releases. His next flick ‘Saamy Square’, a sequel of ‘Saamy’(remade as ‘Lakshmi Narasimha’ in Telugu with Balakrishna) is nearing completion and the teaser got huge response. Coming from director Hari of ‘Singam’ series fame, this film is expected to be a complete mass entertainer with high octane action episodes. Also, Keerthy Suresh who got a huge following with ‘Mahanati’ being the female lead and DSP’s music also helps the film to get decent hype in Telugu too.
Apart from this, he teamed up with stylish director Gautam Menon for ‘Dhruva Nakshatram’. This film managed to get positive vibes all over it right from its first teaser. The audience are waiting for this film and if both these films becomes successful in Telugu, VIkram can surely get hold of his lost market in Telugu once again.
