Sushanth is all set for the release of his next outing, 'Chi La Sow' under the direction of Rahul Ravindran. The movie is gearing up to hit the screens on August 3rd. Ruhani Sharma played the female lead in this movie. On this note, the lead actor, Sushanth had a chitchat with media. Here are some of the excerpts.
What made you take up a romantic entertainer this time?
I have been doing the regular mass movies and I got bored of them. I just wanted a fresh story that actually suits me. Because I want to know if people like me or not. When Rahul came up with an entertaining script 'Chi La Sow', I accepted the project immediately.
Why didn't you bankrolled this project?
I wanted to be independent and take my own risks which is why both I and Rahul decided to opt for a new banner. Thanks to one of my friends, a producer got on board. When Naga Chaitanya watched the film and liked it, he made Annapurna Studios as the co-producers of the film. After watching the movie, Nag uncle called my mother and appreciated me. That was the biggest compliment I got after starting this film.
Anything special about your character?
My character in the film will be very realistic and matches my real life character. Instead of making it as a melodrama, we made it in a realistic way. I haven't used makeup in the movie and my role is like a boy-next-door character.
Are you happy with the output?
I am very happy to be a part of this film. 'Chi La Sow' is a family entertainer and everyone in a family can happily enjoy watching the movie.
I agreed to a script and will sit on it after the release of 'Chi La Sow'. It is a fun thriller and has an interesting plotline. However, my mind is full of 'Chi La Sow' as of now.
