Ever since director Krish announced the film 'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi' the expectations on the flick got increased with each day. Bollywood diva Kangana Ranaut got on board to play the lead which increased more hype.
But, over time, the film got involved in some controversies which irked the makers. The estimated budget before the shooting was Rs. 60 crores. But now, the budget crossed Rs. 125 makers which shocked the audience. On the other hand, director Krish got busy with 'NTR' and left this project. As some of the scenes are still pending, Kangana herself got into the shoes of director and started helming the project. In fact, only 10 days of the shoot was left but Kangana has been directing as well as acting from the past 45 days. It seems like she is not happy with the outcome of some scenes related to Rani Lakshmi's marriage, childhood etc.
With Sonu Sood's exit from the film, another controversy got stirred up. The producers can't do anything instead of spending money as per Kangana's request. The movie is slated to get released on January 25th 2019 in Telugu, Hindi and Tamil languages.
