Rana Daggubati has been busy with his back to back shooting schedules. It is known that he is playing the role of Nara Chandrababu Naidu in legendary actor turned politician Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao's biopic.
Talking about it, he stated that he never expected to play Nara Chandrababu Naidu or any other real-life character on the screen. He added that to play that role, he had to shed so much weight and look lean to look like Chandrababu Naidu. When asked whether he is interested to enter politics one day, Rana replied that it's an entirely different ideology and he doesn't have any such thoughts. Apart from 'NTR,' Rana has a couple of period drama films in his pocket. One of them is a Tamil-Telugu bilingual love entertainer film, set in India in the mid-1940s backdrop. The other one is his Malayalam debut with 'Marthanda Varma: The King of Travancore' movie.
Talking about his character Marthanda Varma, Rana said that not many know about this king and he was the one who was the first to defeat the Dutch East India company. Rana who always say that it is the story that selects you is being busy with a bunch of films in various languages.
