Hero Sumanth faced back to back disasters at the box office and finally got a decent hit with a love story 'Malli Raava' under the direction of Gowtham Tinnanuri. The actor got back into the form with that movie and currently has a bunch of good projects in his pocket at the moment. It is known that Sumanth is playing the role of ANR in NTR biopic and is also starring in suspense thrillers 'Subrahmanyapuram' and 'Idam Jagath'. While 'Subrahmanyapuram' is slated to hit the screens soon, Sumanth is promoting the film and is participating in the interviews. Here are some of the interesting things he said about his upcoming projects:
Tell us about Subrahmanyapuram?
The story is about an atheist who likes temples and does researches on them. The mysterious things he faced forms the rest of the story. When the director approached me with the script, I thought that scripts like this are not my cup of tea and tried to avoid it. But when the director started narration, I sat there for 2 hours. That's why I thought that the audience will also like the story and gave my nod.
Do you believe in god?
Yes, I believe in god and I go to temples as well. Every day, I pray to God before starting the shoot.
How is it playing the role of ANR?
I am really happy. I feel like it is an honor for me. I got this role only because of the blessings of my grandfather.
Were you afraid of playing ANR's role?
No. I am pretty much like my mother and she is exactly like my grandfather. Even in my house, everyone compares me with my grandfather. Also, whenever I stood in front of the mirror after putting makeup like ANR, I remember him.
Did you do any homework for that role?
Yes. I watched some of my grandfather's films as well as interviews again.
Working experience with Balakrishna?
Balayya is like an Encyclopaedia. He has an abundant knowledge in history. His dialogue delivery is awesome. I had a great time shooting with him.
