Director Shekhar Kammula scored the biggest hit in his career with his last film Fidaa. Post its humongous success, everyone thought that Shekhar would do his next with a star hero. But, the Happy Days director tried to remain in his comfort zone and decided to make the film with newcomers.
He already started shooting for his new film long back and it features newcomers as the lead actors. Currently, he is shooting some key scenes in the Armoor area of Telangana. Even for his last film Fidaa, Shekhar chose to portray rural Telangana as the main backdrop.
Looks like he is following the same funda for this film as well. Reports suggest that 80% of the shoot is finished and the entire film will be wrapped up within a couple of months. The movie will hit the screens in the second half of this year. Sunil Narang of Asian Cinemas is bankrolling this project.
