As the release date is nearing by, the business of Superstar Mahesh Babu starrer Maharshi is happening at a rapid pace. A huge amount of stakes are being put on this film. According to the reports from the industry, it has done a theatrical business of more than Rs. 100 crores before the release itself.
Meanwhile, looks like it has also fetched a crazy amount in the form of digital rights. It is being heard that OTT platform Amazon Prime has bagged the digital rights of Maharshi for a whopping amount of Rs. 11 crores. This is a non-Baahubali record in the digital arena.
Mahesh's last film Bharat Ane Nenu was also sold for a fancy price. Its success in digital space made Amazon buy the rights of Maharshi for such a huge price. Meanwhile, high bids are being placed for satellite rights as well. Directed by Pamsi Paidipally, Maharshi is slated to release on May 9.
