Delhi girl Payal Rajput forayed into South Indian film industry with the 2018 Telugu blockbuster Rx100. Payal was seen in a very bold and glamorous role in this film which brought her instant popularity among the audience. But all this stardom didn't come overnight and Payal had to struggle hard and face a lot of tough situations to come up to this stage.
Speaking to the leading daily TOI, Payal stated that despite the #Metoo movement, there are many people who are involving in casting couch incidents. She said, "That incident had happened after RX 100 released. Someone approached me, promising me roles in huge films. But to be honest, such incidents happened to me when I was working for six years in Mumbai and Punjab too. I suspect I will face similar situations in the future as well. "
"The fact is that despite the #MeToo movement, casting couch does exist; not just in showbiz, but every profession. The only difference is that some have the guts to speak about it, like the many women who did during the movement, and some don’t. I am outspoken and have been vocal about this, I don’t want to gain offers by compromising my integrity," she further added.
