Popular Telugu filmmaker Kuchipudi Venkat, who has been effortlessly inventing several "delicious revolutions" in the Hyderabad food industry, is now ready with yet another sensation. Venkat recently launched "Maredumilli" restaurant in Hyderabad- Gachibowli that has been serving mouth-watering cuisine to food lovers in a pleasant, forest-like ambience. Maredumilli restaurant was inaugurated by the numero uno filmmaker SS Rajamouli. Pushing his innovation this time, Venkat designed Telugu Pub which is first of its kind. He has also created a music lover character named DJ Apparao for Telugu Pub. World's first ever "Beertail" will be served in this pub.
Maverick director Ram Gopal Varma inaugurated Telugu Pub and wished Venkat on his new endeavour. RGV also appreciated the world's first-ever "Beertail" and "DJ Apparao" concepts and went on to say that they will surely become a blockbuster. This authentic Telugu Pub will entertain its connoisseurs every Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Kuchipudi Venkat had gained prominence as a director with the movies such as Modati Cinema and John Apparao 40 Plus. However, he had taken a break from direction and is successfully rocking the hotel industry for the past few years. Venkat revealed that the Telugu Pub concept was born out of his deep thinking - "why should only western music be played in the pubs when Telugu music is no less than any music of the world?" And the "Beertail" concept was born out of his penchant to serve various kinds of beers with added pure Telugu flavours.
Even though Telugu Pub is situated in the Maredumilli Restaurant premises, enough care has been taken so that no customer faces any discomfort. And it's situated on separate floor. On this occasion, Venkat also announced his comeback to direction. He revealed that he is currently working on a script and that it's a satire on the kind of people who play with other people's time to kill their time. He has also announced that franchises of "Kuchipudi Palav" will be opened in near future. Popular producer Suman Varma and writer BVS Ravi took part in the inauguration and congratulated Venkat.
