Veteran director Mani Ratnam recently came up with an action thriller 'Chekka Chivantha Vaanam' which is a multi starrer movie with so many Kollywood star heroes like Simbu, Vijay Sethupathi, Aravind Swamy and Arun Vijay.
Jyothika, Aditi Rao Hydari, Aishwarya Rajesh and Dayana Erappa played the female leads in the movie. The film got released in September and had a decent run at the theatres. The movie received a positive response from the audience and made decent collections at the box office. Now, all the eyes are on the upcoming project of Mani Ratnam. Some are claiming that Mani Ratnam's next is going to be an adoption of Ponniyin Selvan. But it seems like the project is not going to get materialized anytime soon. Because, as of now Mani Ratnam is only focusing on the production works of his assistant director Dhana Sekhar's movie.
If everything goes well, then we can expect the shooting of the multi starrer movie that is based on Ponniyin Selvan to go on floors in 2019 and the movie is much likely to hit the screens in 2020.
