Devi Sri Prasad is one of the most popular music directors in India and he started working on more projects than he normally used to as the demand for his music is on the surge. He had hit albums this year, Khaidi No.150, Nenu Local and now his film, Jaya Janaki Nayaka is releasing on 11th August.
Devi Sri Prasad looked completely in his elements talking about the movie and his association with Boyapati Srinu. He said, "This is the fourth time I'm working with him and his evolution as a director pleases me to the core. He narrates the story completely, gives an idea how he shoots the song and that helps me highly while composing tunes."
He continued, " I'm more secure these days about my tunes as people started accepting all kinds of music and all you have to do is compose a good tune that don't hurt their ears. Music is not just some work for me, I need that to flow naturally and when it doesn't I can't work mechanically. Everyday I get offers from Hindi films to compose one song and I enjoy the process of composing an entire album so I don't accept such offers."
Talking about the movie, he said, "Boyapati Srinu, for the first time tried something different from his usual action entertainers and this will be a pleasing love story with few spectacular action sequences. I enjoyed composing music for this film and the way Boyapati shot my songs I enjoyed watching them. While giving BGM, I felt Boyapati played on emotions more than he normally does and I'm happy for him. I immerse myself in work and lyric writing is just a fun exercise. I don't take myself a serious lyricist as there are many good ones and I only write when no one is available and we have to submit the song as soon as we can. I wait till the last moment for betterment and I'm sure people will like my tunes further too as I constantly look to improve."
