There is a latest update on ‘Katamrayudu’ that its overseas rights have been bought by a company called ‘Cine Galaxy’ for a whopping price of 12 crores. As this film has a village backdrop and caters majorly to mass audience, trade experts feel that such high rate is a way too much for the film.
The film may get break even if it gets positive response but if it disappoints audience like ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh’, the overseas distributor will be completely drowned says the experts. The reason behind this high rate may be the amazing openings a mass film like ‘Khaidi No.150’ got and huge response that ‘Katamrayudu’ teaser got. As ‘Khaidi No.150’ was Chiranjeevi’s comeback film, people flooded to the theatres.
But the questions are, Will ‘Katamrayudu’ have the same craze and hype of ‘Khaidi No.150’? What happens if ‘Katamrayudu’ doesn’t get positive response? This explains how much risk that the distributors have taken with ‘Katamrayudu’.
