Tollywood hunk Rana Daggubati's Nene Raju Nene Mantri is all set to hit the theaters on August 11. The trailer created a great buzz around the film and Rana pinned all hopes on it. Rana interacted with the media as part of film's promotion. Let's see what he has to say about the film.
Tell us about the film?
The film has a simple story that we already revealed in the trailer. I play the role Jogendra who is a small time businessman in a village. In what circumstances does he choose to turn a political leader is the story of the movie.
Was there any influence on the politician role you played in the film?
No. I adopted it completely and presented the character in my way with my own style.
What is the film's genre?
The film is a revenge drama which will also have some love story to it. Jogendra changes his name to Radha Jogendra after marriage and Radha is the name of the wife.
Can we compare Arjun and Jogendra?
Arjun from the film Leader is a good person who has several concerns towards the society. Jogendra is completely opposite of what Arjun thinks about the film. There are some negative shades to Jogendra.
Tell us about working with Teja?
Teja is a successful director who needs not prove his worth and when he narrated the story to me, I instantly liked it and accepted to do it. He filled a lot of confidence in me.
Who planned this multi-lingual release?
It was me who always wanted a proper bilingual film and we shot the film in both Telugu and Tamil languages. The film will also release in Tamil and Malayalam languages.
Tell us about sporting a Dhoti in the film?
The politicians in the Telugu states and Tamil Nadu are seen in that dressing style and that was the reason we have followed it.
About your dad associating with the film?
He always wanted me to do classic commercial films and he is the one who has the talent of tracking the secret of the success. He was there with the film from the start to the end.
Is it true that you are remaking Vikram Vedha?
I too heard the news but there are no such plans at this point of time.
