Ravi Teja faced only failures in 2018. Both his movies 'Touch Chesi Chudu' and 'Nela Ticket' ended up as duds at the box office. He has now teamed up with his 'Venky' and 'Dubai Seenu' director Srinu Vaitla and is coming back with 'Amar Akbar Anthony'. The movie is slated for November 16th release and Ravi Teja has been sharing some interesting things about the film in the interviews. Here are some excerpts:
Why did you choose AAA?
For me to sign a project, I should like the story first. When Srinu Vailta narrated the script to me, I actually saw a lot of potential in the story and liked the script. I suggested a few changes to the script and Srinu modified them. Then, shooting went on floors.
You played three roles in AAA. Which character did you enjoy the most?
Personally, I like Amar character a lot as it is intense. In fact, all the three roles have come out well and the manner.
Have you hesitated to work with Sreenu Vaitla as he was going through a bad time?
I don't treat any director in that way. Even I have flopped in my track record. But, I am sure that Srinu Vaitla will not disappoint this time. Because he worked on his weaknesses and came up with a good storyline.
What can we expect from 'AAA'?
Apart from Sreenu Vaitla mark comedy, you can expect solid emotions in the film. Sreenu has included all the emotions in equal amounts and has narrated the story in a beautiful way.
Tell us about Thaman’s music?
Thaman gave wonderful background score for the film. I can't believe that he has already completed 100 films. Despite receiving a lot of flack, he became matured and is giving top-notch music these days.
Are you interested in doing negative roles?
I have no restrictions when it comes to roles. But, I do feel that I still have some time left to take that transition. Maybe in the future, you can see me doing such kind of roles. The only thing is that my character should be strong.
Aren’t you tired of doing the same old comedy entertainers?
No, because they are my strength. In the past, I tried some experimental films like 'Naa Autograph' and 'Shambo Shiva Shambo' but they all flopped. I want to do films which people like to see me in.
What about Theri remake?
I am not doing the film as of now. I only signed a project with V I Anand and shooting will commence soon.
Who do you think is your best critic?
People close to me always say it on my face when they do not like my film. I think my son is the best critic as he will be the first one to say when I didn't do well.
