Like many new heroines, Sindhi actress Siddhi Idnani is also gearing up for the grand release of her debut movie titled Jambalakidi Pamba. The film stars Srinivas Reddy in the lead. Manu is the director of the film. The film is releasing on 22nd of this month, and the promotions are in full swing. As part of the film's promotions, the heroine met the media today to talk about the film. The following are some excerpts from the interview.
What is your background?
My father is a Sindhi and mother is a Gujarati. My mother was a TV artist in Hindi and Gujarathi. My father was a businessman. I used to attend the shoots of my mother and even worked as an assistant for a Gujarati theater play. Later, I developed an interest in acting. When I was 17 years old, I acted in a Gujarati film with Devank Patel. I completed my bachelor's degree in mass media.
How did you grab this Telugu movie opportunity?
One day, the model agency called me and briefed me about the movie. I don't know Telugu, but I still attended the auditions and then they gave me the script. After two days, I came back to Hyderabad and was confirmed for the project.
What was challenging for you in the movie?
The concept of the film is revealed in the trailer. At the interval point, the souls get exchanged, and it was hard to behave like a male person. We did a lot of workshops before getting it right on the sets.
What is your role?
I will be seen as a designer in the first half and falls in love with Srinivas Reddy. The movie has got an interesting story to which the present day's youth will undoubtedly find a connection.
How did you overcome the language problem?
The director told me that I would be given prompting but as a theatre artist, I wanted to deliver the dialogues without any prompting. I learned Telugu dialogues and completed the shooting.
Did you sign any other movie?
I haven’t signed any other film yet. A couple of directors have narrated me the scripts, but I am yet to finalize one.
