Till two years ago, Rakul Preet was the reigning queen of Telugu films. She gave hit after hit and zoomed on the fast lane. But, her career came down crashing as fast as it zoomed. The situation is such that she did not have even a single release in the last year. Come to think of it! Hoping for a good run in Telugu film, she hd even bought herself a swank new home in Hyderabad.
Even in 2019, her downward spiral is continuing. Her latest Tamil release ‘Dev’ ended up as a disaster. The film garnered negative talk. Despite her glam show, she could not lift up the film’s prospects. She has only one film on hand. Venky Mama with Venaatesh and Naga Chaitanya is the only film on hand. The film is being directed by Bobby and he is not known to give much importance to the heroine in his film. So, even if the film does well, it might not help her in any way.
She has two films in Tamil and Hindi and if these films do well, she can still explore these two industries. As for Telugu, it’s all but closed.
