Films and Cricket are two unofficial religions in our country. Both of them go hand-in-hand. We often see sports films getting made and our stars playing the roles of cricket players. Now, two of the Tollywood heroes are playing cricketers in their upcoming films.
As per sources, Naga Chaitanya will be seen as a passionate cricketer in Shiva Nirvana’s (‘Ninnu Kori’ director) film. Though the film is expected to be a romantic drama, a film reportedly revolves around cricket. Also, Natural Star Nani recently announced his sports film ‘Jersey’ directed by ‘Malli Raava’ director Gowtam Tinnanuri. In this film too, Nani plays the role of an aspiring cricketer.
Also, there are other films in Tollywood which are coming up with sports backdrop. Already films like these are made frequently in Bollywood. So with young heroes experimenting these days, hope we see more of such sports films in Telugu too.
