Director Pawan Sadineni, who shot to fame with Prema Ishq Kadal, is back with a family entertainer. Nara Rohit and Nanditha Raj starrer, Savitri has hit the theatres on Friday.
Story:
Savitri (Nanditha Raj) is obsessed with marriage from childhood. To realise her dream, she convinces her family to search for a right match for her. Savitri's family members fixed her marriage with Rishi (Nara Rohith). Eveything will changed in her file when Rishi enters her life. Rishi falls in love with Savitri at first sight but she has not shown much interest. This has happened on their way to Shiridi. Unfortunately, Rishi is not aware of their parents' decision and did not accept the marriage they fixed. What attempts will Rishi make to impress Savitri?. How will he convince her family? Watch the movie on big screen to find out the reasons.
Performances:
There is no doubt that Nara Rohith has intense eyes with good voice. He is impressive as usual and puts up a very impressive show in the film. Nara Rohith carries the film on his vary capable shoulders and he tries to evoke good fun through out the film. Nanditha is pitch perfect and she more to do than just prance around in skimpy clothes. Prabhas Srinu and Fish Venkat bring a few laughs. Others including Murali Sharma, Dhanya Balakrishna and Ajay have also performed well.
Technicalities:
Music and background score by Shravan is pretty good. Dialogues are funny and have been written well. Editing could have been better. The cinematography and other technical departments are also ok. Production values are pretty good and the makers have not compromised on the outcome of this project.
Analysis:
As seen in the trailer, Savitri is a good movie for the family audience and the comedy scenes evoke loud laughter.
First half of the film is entertaining with chemistry between the lead pair and scenes that attract youth audiences. The twist before the interval is good and a few emotional moments keep the viewers engaged in the second half. On the flipside, the film has predictable story. One of the biggest minus points of the film is editing and the scenes are dragged at several places.
Overall, this is a film that will strike a chord with the emotionally driven audience.
Final verdict:
Lovers of family entertainers will definitely get their money's worth.
