‘Potugadu’ is a remake of the Kannada super hit film ‘Govindaya Namaha’. Since it is already proved in Kannda lot of expectation created on the Telugu Version. Will ‘Potugadu’ reach that expectaions? Let us have a look into the review.
Story
Govindhu (Manchu Manoj) is flirty guy. How decides to commit suicide. When he tries to attempt suicide, he happens to meet a man (posani) who also decides to Suicide. Before ending their lives both decides to share their story. Govindu narrates his story his love story with four girls (Sakshi Chowdary, Simran Kaur Mundi, Rachel and Anupriya) and how he cheated them. Posani narrates his failure love. Why Govindu decides to commit suicide? Will Govindhu and posani ends their lives or change their opinion forms the rest of the story.
Filmybuzz opinion
This story is completely new That was the First plus point. Pawan Wadeyar’s direction should be appreciated. Manoj performance as Govindu is simply superb. Especially his fights and comedy timing are very good. Posani as usual did a nice job. Four heroines in the movie did justice for their roles. Rest of the cast are good. Technically camera work is an eyefeast. Achu’s music is one othe plus points of the movie. ‘Devatha…’ and ‘Premalo padipoya...’, ‘Bujji pilla…’ songs are connecting to youth. Background score is remarkable. Even some of the double meaning dialogues are there but they are kicky for youth. In Manoj and posani’s conversation some of the scenes are bit boring. Overall ‘Potugadu’ is a hilarious entertainer. So, can watch the movie. Definetly we can expect that potugadu will turn to Vasool Raja at box office.
