Movie - Veedevadu
Director - Tatineni Satya
Music Director - SS Thaman
Production Company - Urvashi Sharma
Cast - Sachiin J Joshi, Esha Gupta etc
Sachin Joshi who has been keen in making movies, as well as acting, has come up with a thriller story Veedevadu which is a bilingual movie. Titled as Yaar Ivan in Tamil, Veedevadu hits the theaters today (both Tamil and Telugu).
Veedevadu is a crime thriller which revolves around a Kabaddi player named Satya (Sachin Joshi) who is sentenced to jail. Satya and Sruthi get hitched after falling in love with each other.
Satya kills his wife on the very first day after their wedding. Being accused of his Wife's murder, the investigation takes place, Satya confuses the police and portray himself as an innocent. How and why the player kills his girlfriend is the real mystery. You need to watch it at the theaters to find out the mystery.
Sachin Joshi's bodybuilding has complemented the role very well in Veedevadu. His action in some action scenes has turned out well. Eesha Gupta appeared elegant as a heroine and her role is justified. All the other actors did perform well.
The production values are fair enough. The write-up for screenplay must be appreciated. Thrill scenes were well executed. The camera and cinematography on a whole are good.
Editing could have been better. The lengthy story is the biggest minus, as it leads to boredom. Music by SS Thaman is at times in sync with the narration.
Satya Tatineni who got a good fame for Bhimili Kabaddi Jattu has made Veedevadu with the same Kabaddi backdrop. Cannot say if his interest in the sports or the filmmaking that makes it different. But, the same old tired story has been made in an engaging manner.
Touted to be a thriller movie, Veedevadu thrills you at times, but there is nothing new that is a pure surprise for the viewer. Despite it flaws, Veedevadu is engaging and entertaining. Same old thriller story with interesting sports backdrop.
