Amidst a lot of hype and expectations, the film Raja The Great released today. The film stars Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja in the lead role.
The film is directed by Anil Ravipudi who is eyeing to score a hat trick and it is also produced by the iconic filmmaker Dil Raju. Mehreen Kaur is the leading lady of the film. There are a lot of expectations on the project because the film is going to be a new attempt and most likely a different one in the careers of everyone. The film's review is presented here. Check it out.
Raja (Raviteja) is a visually impaired person. His mother Anantha Lakshmi (Radhika) works as a head constable in the police department. She always wanted her son to be in the police department and puts him on a secret police mission to save Lucky (Mehreen). What is Lucky's problem? Did Raja save her? Reveals the rest of the film's story.
The film reveals the real performer in Ravi Teja. We have missed him performing all these days and this is another film where the energetic and entertaining Ravi Teja has been brought out. As a blind guy, he performed well and lived in that role without doing any mistake. Mehreen Kaur delivered an impressive performance and this movie is going to be another hit to her career. In terms of looks and performance, she is very good but her dubbing is bad.
The other actors like Prakash Raj, Rajendra Prasad, Sampath Raj, Vivan Bhatena are good. In the roles they were offered, they presented themselves in the best possible manner. Radhika Sharath Kumar played an interesting role in the film and entertained every one of us. Srinivas Reddy's comedy is good in the film. Raashi Khanna's special appearance in the song is nice. All the other actors made their presence felt.
In terms of technicalities, the film is very rich. The film has good camera work from Mohana Krishna and his framing, as well as visualisation, is perfect. The music scored by Sai Karthik is decent.
A few songs from the audio album are good to listen and his background score for the movie is average. The editing by Thambi Raju is okay and the scene transitions are good. The dialogues of the movie are in sync with the scenes and the production values by Dil Raju are Grand. The graphics work could have been better.
Last 20 Min
The film Raja the great is a typical revenge story that is predictable. Still, the director tried his best to tell it in an entertaining manner. Ravi Teja is perfect in every scene and the comedy worked out well in both the halves. It is challenging for Ravi Teja to play a blind guy role but the actor does it with a lot of ease and it is impressive.
The performances are a major highlight in the film. Except for the routineness in the movie, the film is good with a lot of entertaining elements. An honest and novel attempt from Ravi Teja and Anil that must be appreciated. But the narration and treatment could have been much better than what it is. The film, on a whole is average but we have to wait and see how is this going to be received.
