Story: A doctor named Bhargav (Vijay) is popular in the country for his free services to the poor people. On the other side, a magician named Vijay (Vijay) is involved in a health threat to the country. When both of them cross each others' lives, they come across the mystery behind the death of their father (Vijay Bhargav). Who are they and what is the mystery behind the death forms the rest of the story.
Performances: Vijay carried the film on his shoulders and has come up with an impressive performance. The actor played three different roles in the film and came up with his best work. The performance in the flashback episodes is a highlight. While the actors Kajal Aggarwal and Samantha Samantha are restricted to the glamour alone, Nithya Menen played a role that has a scope for performance too.
All the three leading ladies impressed in their roles. SJ Surya played a powerful role in the film and delivered a good performance. Vadivelu is good in the comic role. The rest of the actors did their best and impressed in the limited roles.
Technical Team: The technical team of the film has worked hard in the movie to come up with a quality output. The cinematography by GK is impressive. The camera work has been so good in the movie and every frame is looking rich and colourful. The music by AR Rahman is impressive.
The audio album is a hit and the background score of the film is good too. The editing by Ruben is sharp. The scene transitions are nice. The graphics and VFX work is nice. The production values are rich.
Plus Points: Performances, BGM, Story
Minus Points: Narration, Dialogue Mutes
Verdict: Adirindhi is one of the rarest films that come with an interesting message. Unfortunately, there are a lot of dialogues muted in the movie which results in the film's flavour being killed. The film has decent performances from the lead actors and there was a purpose behind the making of this movie.
The way Vijay has raised some interesting points about the latest health system and other things which are very useful for the current society. The writing has been impressive too. Except for few lags and ups, downs here and there, the film is a well made one. Must watch!
