Check out the review of the film here.
Story: The film is about reincarnation. Roshan (Akash) is from India. Afreen (Neha) is from Lahore. Roshan is a determined individual who always dreams about the army and war.
One day, Afreen comes to India for the educational purpose and what happens then forms the story of the movie.
Performances: Akash is not new for the Telugu audiences. Akash impressed everyone as a child artist, and he made his solo debut now. Akash is very good with his body language, dialogue delivery, and performance.
He is sure to become a good actor in the coming days under the guidance of his father. On the other side, the newcomer Neha Shetty is excellent regarding the glamour and performance aspects. She has given her best for the film and impressed as Afreen. The chemistry between the lead pair is impressive. The supporting cast is good and made their presence felt.
Technical Aspects: The graphics works are the best in the movie. The film unit took care regarding the output of the movie. The production design is impressive, and the locations are realistic. The camera work by Vishnu Sarma is arresting.
Every frame is authentic. The editing by Junaid Siddique is good and neat. The music composed by Sandeep Chowtha is impressive big time. The background score that he gave for the movie is also helpful. The production values are lavish.
Verdict: The film Mehbooba has got an exciting story of reincarnation with India – Pakistan War backdrop. The director Puri Jagannadh gave his best for the movie by being different from his previous films. There is a lot of change in taking and the characterizations.
Puri Jagan attempted an honest love story with an exciting approach. His desperate attempt is only successful in parts. The first half of the movie is average, and when it comes to the second half, the film ultimately gets in an attractive mode, but the ending is a disappointment. The reincarnation theme is executed very well by the director. The entire team has given their best with camera, music and the production design. The war sequences were shot well.
On the whole, the film is a decent debut for Akash who is a watch out for in the coming days. Mehbooba is a one time watch romantic entertainer.
