Naa Nuvve is a Telugu romantic comedy written and directed by Jayendra. Jayendra is the director of the film 180 starring Priya Anand and Siddharth in the lead roles. After a long gap, the Tamil director has directed this movie with Kalyan Ram Nandamuri and Tamannah Bhatia in the leads. Kiran Muppavarapu and Vijay Kumar Vattikutti produced the movie under Cool Breeze cinemas banner while Mahesh S Koneru presented the film on East coast productions banner.
P C Sreeram handled the cinematography for the film. Sharreth has scored the music for the film. The film unit is very confident about the success of the film and promoted it with the same confidence. The movie released today worldwide and checkout the review of the film here.
Story: The story starts with Meera (Tamannah) who is a Radio Jackie starts sharing her love story with the viewers. She falls in love with Varun (Kalyan Ram) who completes his Ph.D. and busy with the plans to leave for the USA. She believes in destiny, but he is a practical guy.
She shares how destiny made them meet each other and to prove her wrong, Varun throws a challenge. The rest of the story is whether she gets succeeded in the challenge? What is the challenge? Will destiny unite Meera and Varun? To get answers to all these questions one needs to watch the film at the theaters.
Performances: Nandamuri Kalyan Ram played the role Varun in the film and has impressed everyone. His physical transformation is stunning and he tried to grab the lover boy image with his impressive performance. Tamannah as Meera is energetic in the film. She has played something that she never did in the past in her career.
The chemistry of Kalyan Ram and Tamannah is appealing. Tanikela Bharani has played a good role in the film. Posani Krishna Murali, Vennela Kishore and others have tried to bring some good laughs. The comedy is natural. The other actors have played their parts well and did justice for their roles.
Technical Aspects: The writing by Subha and Jayendra is nice. The dialogues are very good and are perfect for the situations. The music by Sharreth is okay but his background score tried to impress the audiences.
Cinematography by P C Sreeram is a major highlight of the film. He has done a wonderful job with his camera and came up with some great visuals. The editing is okay. The production values are lavish.
Verdict: The story completely revolves around destiny. Usually, in Telugu films, people use this concept in few scenes to give a support to the story, but the makers of Naa Nuvve has written the story by taking destiny as the main theme.
May be that's the reason, the film failed to have the magic that any love story supposed to have in it. There is nothing new in this love story. The story starts with the love story with Varun narrated by Meera. She believes in destiny, but Varun doesn't have any faith in destiny. The first half is all about how they meet.
Vennela Kishore, Priyadarshi, and others tried to tickle the funny bones of the audience, which didn't impress them. Though there are few scenes in the second half, which might impress the audience, won't last long. When compared to the first half, the second half is a bit better. Even though the story has a beautiful pair like Kalyan Ram and Tamannaah, there is no chemistry or magic in the love story. The director failed to present the story on screen.
