Performances : The lead pair Kalyan Dev and Malavika Nair have played their parts very well in the film. Kalyan Dev performed his portion well and scored a decent debut. His performance in the movie is good. With Vijetha, he scored pass marks for the debut performance.
Malavika Nair impressed with her looks and performance in the film. Murali Sharma has played a crucial role in the film and his performance the major highlight of the movie. All the other actors have made their presence felt.
Technicalities : The film's camera work by KK Senthil Kumar is one of the major highlights of the film. His lighting is different for this film, and he showed Kalyan Dev beautifully on the screen. The music by Harsha Vardhan Rameswara is good, and so is the background score which has elevated the emotional sequences properly.
The editing is good, and the narrative structure is impressive. The writing by Rakesh Sashi is impressive, and the dialogues have come out well. The artwork is excellent, and the production values maintained by Sai Korrapati are grand.
Verdict : Vijetha is the emotional tale of a father who sacrifices his passion for the love he has for his family. The director has written an impressive character for Murali Sharma and weaved a nice story around it.
The first half of the movie runs on Kalyan Dhev but the second half completely takes an emotional path where Murli Sharma excels in his role as a father and moves everyone with his performance. The story is relatable to everyone in the current times, but the screenplay has some flaws.
The entertainment quotient of the movie could have been better, and the emotional content also could have been high considering the story that the makers chose. On the whole, it is a safe bet for Kalyan to make a debut with a story oriented movie. Finally, Vijetha is a one time watchable flick.
