Performances: Kamal Hassan has played a dual role in the film. He excelled in the roles like Vishwanadhan and major Wisam Ahmad. Both the characters have given him enough scope for the performance. As usual Kamal Hassan did not disappoint in both the roles and has come up with a neat performance. The film certainly brings back Kamal Hassan to the success form. Rahul Bose is impressive as Umar Qureshi and played his part well. Pooja Kumar and Andrea are the heroines in the movie who have put impressive performances. Their roles have enough scope for the performance. Shekhar Kapoor is nice in his role and Waheeda Rehman is also good in his role. The other actors like Jaydeep, Russell, Veer Sawar, Deepak Jethi, Anath Mahadevan and others have played their parts well.
Technical Aspects: The cinematography by Sanu Varghese and Shyam Dutt. Both have given a good time for the film and impressed with their camera work. The editing by Mahesh Narayan and Vijay Shankar is clean and good. The writing by Kamal Hassan is top notch. The music by Ghibran is outstanding and the background score he has given for the movie is brilliant. The production values maintained by Kamal Hassan are lavish.
Verdict: Vishwaroopam 2 is engaging for the most parts. The film has got all the necessary stuff that could uphold the curiosity of the audiences. The continuation story for the second part is impressive. The scenes have come out lengthy but it is all worth it. Kamal Hassan's screen presence is just impeccable. The film is strong in Kamalisms. It Engages & grips the viewer throughout its 1 hr 25 mins runtime of the first half. The best part of the film is that it cuts back to scenes from the first part for the audience recall factor. With outstanding performances and an amazing technical output, the film is good in parts.
