Aadhi Pinisetty after giving a spectacular performance in 'Rangasthalam' came up with a racy action thriller 'Neevevaro' this time. For the first time in his career, he played the role of a blind man in this film. Taapsee Pannu who is being busy with her Bollywood flicks and is being extremely choosy about her films played the female lead.
After playing the lead in 'Guru,' Ritika Singh became the second female lead in this flick. Penned by Kona Venkat, Harinath directed this film. The teaser and trailer of the film stirred curiosity among the audience. Both Aadhi and Taapsee prefer content-driven films, and the audiences are expecting the same 'Neevevaro' as well. Let's see how far the film succeeded in living up to those expectations.
Story: Kalyan (Aadi Pinisetty), likes Vennela (Taapsee) who frequently visits his restaurant. Anu (Rithika Singh) is the childhood friend of Kalyan, and she always wanted to marry Kalyan. Kalyan thinks that Anu is showing pity on him and falls for Vennela.
Kalyan proposes that he will marry Vennela, but it is when she comes up with her problems. Kalyan assures that he will solve her problems but meets with an accident. What are Vennela's issues? Did Kalyan solve them? What happens in the end? Forms the story of the movie.
Performances: Aadhi has nailed his performance as a blind chef. Most of the movie, he wasn't seen wearing spectacles, but Aadhi has given his career-best performance and managed his expressions well. He applied the body language of a visually challenged man very well.
He maintains the same energy throughout the film. Taapsee has once again played an exciting role in the film. Her character is the major highlight of the film and Taapsee haven't disappointed the audience with her stunning performance. Ritika Singh is the friend of Aadhi in the movie and loves him so much. The triangle love story between them is brewed so well. Vennela Kishore got another interesting role. His rocking performance is an absolute delight to watch. Sapthagiri gave his best. The scenes featuring Sapthagiri and Vennela Kishore are hilarious. Tulasi also has a vital role in the film, and she gave her best. Shivaji Raja also did an impressive job.
Technical Aspects: The story is the major highlight of the film. It keeps us on the edge of your seat and makes us get involved in it completely. The gripping screenplay is something that steals the more significant piece of cake. Director Harinath executed the story well.
The way he handled the thriller script is a proof of his brilliant directional skills. Production values by M.V.V.Satyanarayana are above average. Cinematography by Sai Sriram is excellent. Music by Achu and Prasan is fantastic. It suited the script well. The editing by Pradeep E Raghav is clean and neat. Overall, the technical department has given their best.
Verdict: The film Neevevaro starts off well in the beginning, but it falls flat as it reaches the interval point. There is no proper screenplay for the movie, and it has become a big reason for the film creating boredom among the audiences. The suspense factor in the movie was not maintained until the end, and the deviation in the plotline has become a big problem even though there are beautiful performances from the lead actors.
The film has failed in impressing the audiences with the point that the director has started. The first half of the film is good but the second half has wholly gone wrong in terms of the execution. On the whole, the movie is just ok and can be watched for the performances of the actors.
