Story: Avi (Allu Sirish) is a rich NRI who spends money like water. His father worries about the same and sends him to India and forces him to live in India without funds. What did Avi do then? Did he learn any responsibility? What happens in the end? Forms the story of the movie.
Performances: Allu Sirish is definitely the show stealer for this film. The actor has showcased a great improvement in his acting skills, dialogue delivery etc. His energetic performance can be considered as one of the major driving factors behind the film. Rukshar Dhillon who played the female lead in the movie is truly an asset for the film. She not only looked beautiful on the silver screens, but also delivered a commendable performance. Nagababu delivered an honest performance in the movie. Master Bharath performed well. Not only as a child artist Bharath is proving that he can pull off any role as a character artist also. Vennela Kishore's comedy timing is awesome. He will definitely tickle the laugh bones of the audience. The rest of the cast also justified their roles.
Technical Aspects: Director Sanjeev Reddy succeeded in handling the story in an impressive way. His pace of narration is really good and will make the audience stick to their chairs. More than any other element, the director has focused more on the fun and entertainment factors which became one of the plus points for the film. Production values by Madhura Sreedhar Reddy and Yash Rangineni are topnotch. Music by Judah Sandhy is astounding. A couple of songs are good but more than the songs his background music will definitely impress the audience. Cinematographer Raam has produced colorful visuals for the film. His camera angles are really nice. Editing by Naveen Nooli is clean and neat. Kalyan Raghav has penned good dialogues for the film.
Verdict: The movie starts off an interesting note and the entire first half will be about Allu Sirish and master Bharath trying to adjust in India and the problems they face. The interval twist is quite impressive. The second half is also fun but also will have some sentimental scenes which are not that boring. The director also tried to include a good message for the youth about money. The movie also entertains us really well. To conclude, 'ABCD' American Born Confused Desi is really a good film with few shortcomings.
