Story: Swapna (Taapsee) is slowly coming out of a trauma that she underwent in the past. She is undergoing a lot of pressure to come out of this trauma. On the other hand, she has multiple phobias and resides in an isolated spacious bungalow with her maid Kala (Vinothini).
In such a scenario, a series of events take place which puts Swapna into more trouble. What happened to her? How did Swapna manage to come out of this? What happened in the end? Forms the story of the movie.
Performances: It is known that Taapsee Pannu has been picking up performance oriented roles from the past few years and the actress has delivered her best in this movie. The actress has not only got an interesting role in the film but Taapsee has actually gone under the skin of the character and performed really well.
Vinodhini Vaidyanathan also got a meaty role in this movie and she will impress the audience with her performance. Anish Kuruvilla justified his character in the film.
Technical Aspects: Production values by S Shashikanth, Chakravarthy and Ramachandra are lavish. The producers have invested decent amounts in the movie. Dialogues by Venkat kacharla are decent. Music by Ron Ethan Yohan is outstanding. His catchy background score elevated all the scenes and made the movie even more interesting.
Cinematography by A. Vasanth is beautiful. He has produced some catchy visuals for the film. Editing by Richard Kevin is average.
Verdict: Ashwin Saravanan has prepared an engaging story for the film and the director has proved that he has got some amazing storytelling skills with this film. His racy screenplay and jaw-dropping twists can be considered as the major plus points for this film.
GameOver is a tight genre-hopping thriller that keeps you guessing about the genre constantly but the director does magic in adding layer after layer to increase the curiosity on the movie. The less runtime becomes an advantage as the director got to tell a gripping story without any flaws. Taapsee certainly needs to be applauded for the choices she is making. Game Over is a not to be missed movie this weekend.
