Sapthagiri and Vaibhavi played the lead roles in the new movie Vajra Kavacha Dhara Govinda. The movie released today in the theatres amidst a lot of expectations as Sapthagiri has to score a hit with the movie to survive in the film industry as a hero. Story: An archaeologist Columbus is working on the hidden treasure at a temple in Parasurama Kshetram. Govind (Sapthagiri), a small time thief comes for his help. But Govind is doing this on a purpose. What is his purpose? Did they achieve the hidden treasure? What happens in the end? Forms the story of the movie.
Performances: We can see that Saptagiri has improved a lot when compared to his previous films. The actor has concentrated more on action sequences in this film. It is evident that he has worked hard for this movie. Vaibhavi Joshi is pretty and promising in her role. The actress will definitely create an impact on the audience with her cute performance. Archana justified her role. Temper Vamsi has went under the skin of the character and his energetic performance added more strength for the film. Apparao and Avinash delivered honest performances. Rajendra John Kottoli is good in his role and the rest of the cast also made his presence felt.
Technical Aspects: Arun Pawar has prepared a simple not so complicated kind of story for this film. He has also laced it with so many commercial elements like comedy, romance, emotions etc. We can see the director has given more importance to the comedy and entertainment in the film and have succeeded in engaging audience with his screenplay. Production values by GVN Reddy and Narendra Yadala under Shiva Shivam films are rich. The producers have invested decent amounts for film. Music by Vijay bulganin is an added benefit for the film. Praveen Vanamali's cinematography also helped more for the film. The runtime is bearable.
Verdict: Justifying the genre, the movie focus more on entertainment more than anything else. The movie starts off on a decent note and the entire first half is filled with so many comedy scenes, entertainment etc. The love track is showcased in a beautiful way. The director has focused more on the entertainment in the first half but concentrated more on the emotions in the second half. When compared to the first half, the second half will have less less entertainment and increased dosage of emotions. The action sequences are also good. The movie has a happy ending. To conclude, Vajra Kavacha Dhara Govinda is a decent film.
