Samantha starrer Oh Baby Released Worldwide Grandly. The film is directed by Nandini Reddy who earlier worked with Samantha on the project Jabardasth. The film is the official remake of the Korean movie Miss Granny. Sunitha Tati of Guru Films, Suresh Babu of Suresh Productions, TG Vishwa Prasad and Vivek Kuchibotla of Peoples Media Factory is producing this movie in association with Korean Production House Kross Pictures.
Rao Ramesh, Lakshmi, Rajendra Prasad, Teja Sajja, Snigdha, and others are a part of this project. The music scored by Mickey J Meyer already impressed everyone. The theatrical trailer also created a unique interest to watch the movie. Check out the review of the film here.
Baby (Lakshmi ) is an adamant old lady who becomes a burden to her family. She is made to leave home because of several reasons. Mysteriously, Baby becomes younger and starts living as Baby (Samantha), a lady in her youth. Baby returns home as a stranger and joins the family again. Why did she do that? What is her motive now? What did Baby finally do to the family? Forms the story of the movie.
Samantha's outstanding performance can be considered as the backbone of this film. Samantha is truly an asset to this movie. She has delivered an amazing performance in the film which will definitely leave an impact on the audience. Senior actress Lakshmi has justified her role. Rajendra Prasad's energetic performance added more strength for the film. His presence itself will evoke good laughs in the theatres. Naga Shourya looked handsome and delivered a decent performance in the film. Urvasi, Pragathi and Teja gave their 100 per cent for the film. The rest of the actors also made their presence felt.
Director Nandini Reddy has made some good changes in the story and made it even easier for the Telugu audience to understand it. She succeeded in making the movie interesting and entertaining so that even the audience who have already watched the Korean version can enjoy the Telugu version well.
Production values by Suresh Productions and People Media Factory are luxurious and can be considered as one of the major plus points for this film. Music by Mickey J Meyer is like the backbone of the movie not only the songs but also his astounding BGM made the movie even more relatable. Cinematography by Richard Prasad is beautiful. He has produced some bright and colourful visuals for the movie. Editing by Junaid Siddique is clean and neat.
Though this is a remake movie, the audience who have already watched the Korean version can also happily enjoy the Telugu version as well. The movie starts off an interesting note and the entire first half is extremely funny. The second half is even more fun when compared to the first half.
The scenes between Naga Shourya and Samantha are refreshing. The chemistry between Samantha and Rajendra Prasad is also showcased in a beautiful way. The climax is the heart of the film and the movie which will be light-hearted with comedy will hit hard with its climax. Overall, 'Oh Baby' is a heart touching and a must watch movie.
