Story: Arun Kumar (Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas) is an aspiring film director. With a script about a psycho killer in his hands, Arun Kumar tries to test his luck in the film industry but his fate leads him into the police department and Arun Kumar becomes a police officer. One day, he comes across the murder case of a young school student and recognises that it is done by a psycho killer. During the case investigation, he meets a teacher (Anupama Parameswaran) and also falls in love with her. Because of a personal loss, Arun Kumar decides to find the psycho killer. What is that personal loss? Did Arun Kumar succeed in finding the psycho killer? Who is he and why is he targeting young girls? forms the crux of this story.
Performances: Bellamkonda Srinivas is truly an asset for this film. He has gone under the skin of the character and delivered his career-best performance with this film. Anupama Parameswaran looked beautiful in the film. Not only in terms of her glamorous appearance, but Anupama Parameswaran will also gain good marks for her outstanding performance in the film. Dua Kaushik is too cute in her role. Sharwanand delivered an honest performance. Ammu Abhirami and Vinodhini Vaidyanathan delivered decent performances in the film. Surya and Keshav Deepak are good in their roles. Suzane George acted naturally. The rest of the characters also made their presence felt.
Technical Aspects: Director Ramesh Varma hasn't made any major changes to the script or screenplay of the film. He has succeeded in narrating the story without making the audience get bored. The audience will stick to their chairs throughout the film and we can give the credit to the director. Production values by Satyanarayana Koneru under A Studios banner are luxurious. Music by Ghibran is outstanding. His amazing tunes made it, even more, easier for the audience to connect with the story. Cinematography by Venkat C Dileep is wonderful. All his camera angles and visuals are a delight to watch. Editing by Amar Reddy is clean.
Verdict: The movie has a solid story and the stunning screenplay will definitely give a thrilling for the audience. The first half of the movie will go in one direction whereas the interval twist will be shocking and the second half will be extremely engaging. The captivating screenplay will make the audience keep guessing but prove them wrong every time with a shocking twist. Story, screenplay and background music are the major plus points for the film. But as the makers have used the same scenes in Tamil version and the same actors, the Telugu audience can sense the Tamil flavour which can be considered a minus point. Overall, 'Rakshasudu' movie is definitely worth watching film.
