Trivikram has made a mark for himself in the industry with his sensitive approach to the stories and all the heroes are dying to work with him. His portrayal of characters and dialogues in his films speak volumes about the knowledge and grip he posses. He portrays all the characters in his films with utmost case.
Now, he is arrived with A..Aa starring Nithiin and Samantha in the lead and the film has hit the theaters on Thursday.
Story: Anasuya Ramalingam (Samantha) is only daughter of a successful business woman Mahalakshmi (Nadhiya). Ramalingam (Naresh) is Anasuya's father. Anasuya doesn't like her mother's domination who watches all her moves and never give freedom. She goes to her aunt's house in Kaluvapudi village following the advice of her father to spend a peaceful life for some days when her mother goes Chennai on a business trip.
She meets Anand Vihari (Nithiin) in the train and as expected, Anasuya gets close to Anand. But Anand is caught in a situation where he is forced to marry Pallam Venkanna's daughter Naga Valli(Anupama Parameswaran) due to some financial issues.
Nagavalli also loves Anand and there is some troubled past between Anand and Anasuya's families.
The rest of the story is about how Trivikram handled the triangular love story. Will Anasuya convince her mother? Will the both families reunite?. To find out the reasons, watch the film on big screen.
Performances: Nithiin handles his role with confidence and gives his career's best performance.
Samantha's cute expressions and her brilliant performance make you want to root for her. Trivikram captured the innocence and simplicity of Samantha beautifully and this will surely become one of Samantha ’s most memorable performances. Anupama Parameshwaran makes a decent entry into Tollywood with mature performance and has a long way to go.
Nadiya got a good role like Attarintiki Daaredi film and she gives her best. Rao Ramesh is best as usual and once again gives a wonderful performance.
Technical: Mickey J Meyer's music is pleasant but his rerecording has elevated the mood of the movie. Kotagari Venkateswara Rao's editing could have been better as there is much lag in the second half. Production values are top notch.
Camera work is pleasing to the eyes and he has captured the village locations beautifully.
Plus Points: Nithiin, Samantha's expressions, Rao Ramesh's performance, Cinematography, Climax
Minus Points: Routine story, Slow pace
Analysis: This is a simple story of triangular love, beautifully told. First half of the film is entertaining but tempo in the second half dips slightly and the story becomes predictable.
There is a slight lag in narration in the second half. The film needs to be watched without keeping high expectations. Although it is a simple and routine story, the way Trivikram narrated is entertaining.
Most of the scenes between Nithiin and Samantha are looking as ravishing as ever. Dialogues by Trivikram have elevated the story and it has many pleasant moments.
A..Aa is heavily inspired by Super Star Krishna's film Meena. The film's story is very similar to the story of Meena.
The pleasant presentation by director Trivikram Srinivas with very good dialogues, beautiful presence of Samantha and heavy sentiment, A..Aa will entertain the youth and family audience. Mass audience may find it boring and they can skip it.
Overall, the film has all the potential to woo the youth and women in a large way to the theaters.
