Nara Rohith and Jagapathi Babu played the lead roles in the film while it also has Darshana Banik in the leading lady role. Story: Siddarth (Nara Rohith) is a film director who is married to Anjali (Darshana Banik). The suspicious death of Anjali raises questions against Siddarth. A Publis Prosecutor (Jagapathi Babu) takes up the case and starts investigating it. Initially, he saves Siddarth and proves that Anjali's ex-boyfriend killed her. But, after a while, Siddarth is known as the criminal. How did the lawyer prove Siddarth as a criminal? What did he do to save the innocent? Why did Siddarth kill his wife? Forms the story of the movie.
Performances: Performances wise, everyone has given their best for the film. Both Nara Rohith and Jagapathi Babu played their parts well. Rohith especially is good with his body languages while Jagapathi Babu impressed with his dialogue delivery. The performance of both the actors is going to be the major highlight in the movie. Darshana Banik, the Bengali girl, scored decent marks with this debut film of hers. The comedy actors like Brahmanandam and others tried to bring in some good laughs. The other actors Subbaraju, Sri Tej, Tulasi, Jeeva, were also good in the roles they were given.
Technical Aspects: Vijay C Kumar's camera work is impressive in the movie. His visuals are brilliant throughout the movie. The dialogues by Chiranjeevi are excellent and impressive. They are apt for the situations in the film. The fights by Sri and Dance by Prem Rakshit are good. The songs composed by Sai Kartheek are okay. The background score of the movie is decent. The editing is neat. The production values are grand.
Verdict: Aatagallu is a roller-coaster ride of thrilling moments laced with decent performances from both Nara Rothih and Jagapathi Babu. The film starts off on an exciting note, and it turns out to be a gripping courtroom drama. The narrative structure is fascinating, and it holds the curiosity of the audiences.
The way the director unfolded the twist in the movie is impressive. The first half of the movie introduces the characters and the conflict nicely but the second half of the film has its flaws. The director executed the important emotional sequences very well, and the less runtime also helped the movie. On the whole. Aatagallu is a decent thriller that works well for the target audiences.
