After a hit like ‘Gentleman’, director Mohan Krishna Indraganti is back with a comedy caper ‘Ami Tumi’ this time starring Adivi Sesh and Srinivas Avasarala in the lead. The film made good buzz with its teasers and trailers. Let us see how the film fared.
Story: The story revolves around Gangdhar Rao’s (Tanikella Bharani) family. His daughter (Esha) loves Ananth (Adivi Sesh) but Gangadhar rejects it and tries to tie her knot with Sreechilipi (Vennela Kishore). Also, his son (Srinivas Avasarala) falls for his enemy’s daughter Maaya (Aditi).
Upset by these happenings, Gangadhar house arrests his daughter and sends his son out of his house. The rest of the story is all about how the two couples get married and end the movie on a happy note.
Performances: Vennela Kishore completely steals the show. His comedy timings, one liners, funny English, subtle expressions leaves you in splits. He brings the house down whenever he is on screen and is the main asset of this film.
Tanikella Bharani shows his experience once again and handled the strict father’s character supremely well. Adivi Sesh and Avasarala Srinivas are fine though they get less screen time.
Eesha Rebba is apt and portrays her Telangana girl role well. Aditi Myakal is okay. All the other cast played their part well.
Technical: The production values are fine as the film looks decent and so are the visuals. Editing is good and there is no lag in the proceedings. Mani Sharma’s music goes with the film’s flow and never disturbs you. Background score too sounds fine.
Mohan Krishna Indraganti succeeds as a dialogue writer mainly as they are very witty. In the direction front, he succeeds in bring out good performance from his cast and wrote his screenplay interestingly without deviating much.

Filmybuzz Analysis: Entertainment is the biggest asset of this film. Right from the moment Vennela Kishore enters into the film, the graph goes up and there are hardly any dull moments in this film. The brisk pace and crisp editing also help the film to a large extent. The climax of the film looks decent and so is the interval point which is handled very well. Vennela Kishore must be given credit for carrying the movie on his shoulder.
On the flipside, the film starts off slowly and looks passive till Kishore enters the scene. Certain characters in the film may irate you with their loudness at times. The film has a bit of urban appeal which may not appeal to the masses. The main heroes Adivi Sesh and Avasarala end being just side artists as the film goes on.
Final Verdict: On the whole, ‘Ami Tumi’ is a fun filled entertainer which you can enjoy with your family. It is worth watching this weekend if you ignore the logics in it.
You are sure to laugh your guts out with comedy in the film.
