Story
Arjun Reddy (Vijay Devarakonda) is a final year MBBS student who works as a house surgeon in St Mary's medical college. He is a short tempered guy with zero anger management. He falls in love with his junior Preethi. After having a serious relationship for years she gets married to some other person by the force of her parents. Unable to take this, Arjun becomes a drug and alcohol addict. What happens to him? Will he get out of that? what's the end of their true love story? forms the rest of the story.
Performances
Vijay Devarakonda as Arjun Reddy did a fabulous performance. His style, attitude and everything is natural. He lived in the character as a Doctor and a love failure. Shalini, the new girl looked very dull without any expressions as per her character limitations. She got no great scope to perform but did a decent job. Rahul Ramakrishna with his typical Telangana slang entertained very well in this slow paced flick. Rest of the characters did their best in their limited roles.
Technicalities
Arjun Reddy is made on a limited budget with what exactly it needs. Cinematography by Raju Thota is decent. All the shots are pretty cool and beautiful as it is a love story. Music by Radhan is brilliant, especially the BGM. Editing could be crispier as the length of the film is almost 3 hours.
Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga made a very bold attempt in Telugu film industry with a realistic approach. He took many daring decisions right from the trailer cut with adult words to deep kisses and romantic scenes in the movie. His style of narration is slow but very impressive. There is a great depth in his dialogues and making. He is definitely here to stay long.

Analysis
Arjun Reddy is a great attempt by the debut director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The only complaint about the movie is the duration. It's almost 3 hours and a little bit slow at times. But the comedy quotient in between made it a nonboring attempt.
There are more than 2 dozens of kisses which will surely make the youth go gaga. The attitude and characterization of the protagonist will never get low at any point of time. Most of the un acceptable words got muted by the advice of censor board and almost every word is instantly dubbed by the audience just like the request of Vijay Devarakonda in the pre release event. Arjun Reddy will be a profitable venture and will mint good money to the producers.Arjun Reddy is a great choice for you right now.
