Story:
Arjun Lenin Suravaram (Nikhil) is a journalist working in 99 TV. His dream is to work for the BBC channel. He comes across Kavya (Lavanya Tripathi). As life progresses, Arjun lands in a case that actually puts his career in a big stake. What is this case all about? What happened to Arjun? How did he come out of it? Forms the story of the movie.
Performances:
Nikhil has come up with an interesting point in the crime thriller genre. The point of the movie is interesting. Nikhil's looks are too good in the movie and his action is also fresh. The makers worked hard in designing the role of Nikhil and his performance as a journalist is a big highlight. The chemistry between Nikhil and Lavanya is too good and their pairing has got a good name. The director Santosh wrote his treatment well and the emotional scenes he penned came out well. Satya and the villain gang is good with comedy. Tarun Arora is impressive in the negative role. The rest of the cast did well and made an impressive mark.
Technical Aspects:
Coming to the people behind the screen, the director Santosh made sure that his script has got all kinds of commercial elements in it. The audiences will find it interesting and engaging too. The message that the director wanted to tell got conveyed perfectly in the movie. The music is good while a couple of songs are hummable. The background score is impressive too. The camera work is the major highlight of the film. Every frame looks grand with richness. The editing is decent and the production values are grand.
Verdict:
The film ends on a curious note. The way it was dealt with is impressive. The first half tells the entire story and raises expectations for the second half. The emotional scenes of the second half are filled with painful content which showcases the director's true work. The film will surely provoke thought in us while watching it. The story point of the movie is good but the director could not weave much of a story with it and it gets routine sometimes with predictable execution and illogical scenes. The film comes up with a much-needed social message in the current times with thrilling elements. The action of the movie is too good. The scenes involving investigation are nice too. On the whole, Arjun Suravaram is an engaging thriller.
