Baahubali-The beginning is the hot potato. Baahubali has made the Telugu audience go mad and obtained quite a galore all over the country too. The wait has ended.The bigness of the movie, the ensemble of stars, outstanding visuals, highest budget and last but not the least. The SS Rajamouli brand is what made this movie colossal. As some biggies mentioned that 'Bahubali' takes indian cinema to next level... let us see whether this prestigeous movie reaches the expectations.
Story Line
The film begins with a pictorial presentation of the geography of Mahismathi kingdom, its neighboring areas beautified with an angelic waterfall and extravagant visuals, the movie takes a start here. Rajamatha Sivagami (Ramya Krishna), assaulted by a bunch of soldiers is drowned away in this waterfall saving an infant who grows as Sivudu (Prabhas) in a nearby tribal region.
Sivudu falls in love with gorgeously looking Avanthika (Tamanna). Sivudu takes up the task of saving Devasena(Anushka) on behalf of his lady love Tamannah. What happens next? How Sivudu attempts to save Devasena? Who exactly is Devasena?
Deva Sena (Anushka) is shown hostage from last 25 years under a cruel king Bhallala Deva (Rana) and his father Bijjala Deva (Naazar).
The role of Amarendra Baahubali, why the war broke out? and whom they battle with is to be watched in the theater.
Roles and Performances:
The main lead Prabhas's idiosyncrasy is too good. The characterization of Shivudu conjures the hearts of audience. Prabhas's 3 years of dedication is obvious and his physic is exemplifying. But, there is an incompleteness in establishment of Shivudu and Baahubali. Director is to be blamed for this.
Rana played a very gutsy, dauntless and audacious villain. He surely is gonna be the best Villain as he already foretold. Bhallaladeva is apt.
Tammanah is seen glued to her role and she is adaptive. Well, her role is an oomph and she is seen highly attractive in the role.
Anushka as Devasena did not have much to do in the first half. She is shown robust and it would be interesting to see the progress of Devasena in the sequel.
Ramya Krishna as Shivagami is seen in a commendable, dominating role. After Neelambhari in super star's Narasimha, Ramya Krishna is seen in such a fierce role.
Prabhakar is a seen in a ruthless role and perfectly justifies the dreaded villain's place. Definitely Prabahakar’s Kalakeya role is the most gutsy one and perfectly justified.
Satyaraj’s Kattappa is definitely a very peculiar commendable one. He has lived up in the role.
Nazar as a Bijjala Deva Performed Well.
Technical Aspects:
Baahubali is high on visuals only in some of the scenes. Mainly the war sequences are absolutely visual extravaganza. The war sequences are the best part of the flick and any Indian can proudly claim the credit in the name of Rajamouli.
Senthil Kumar's cinematography can be called a good one. Kotagiri Venkateshwar Rao's editing is a plus. Mainly the arts team is to be praised.
But lag in narration spoiled the screenplay. Rich sound using ‘Dolby Atmos’ technology is interwoven with the visuals.
MM Keeravani's music just gave up and stood as the movie's biggest lag.
Rich lens captures, juxtapose screenplay, VFX wonders are the elements that phenomenal but as said above not up to the mark. Restrained narration is a big minus.

A mere disappointment. No captivating story line, easily predictable screenplay, conceptualization lags are all draw backs . Neither at any point of the film will you feel excited about the sequel nor will you have the experience of having watched a complete film.
Prabhas and Rana as Baahubali, Shivudu and Bhallala Deva will remain as epic heroes in Indian cinema history.
Raajamouli started this project off with a target to prove the stature of Telugu Cinema to the world but failed making it up to the mark. He tried his best to bring the esteem of Telugu Film Industry to another level and yes mission accomplished. The Baahubali team endeavored days together. Raajamouli's whole family was all dedicated to this movie. And thus the hard work pays off.
The whole team of Baahubali stays humbly behind this flick.. Congratulations to the whole team. It is also a success for all the fans and audience.
It may be a disappointment because of its over hype too.. Here we go with this conclusion that this movie deserves an appreciation for the hard work though failed to enthrall as much as hyped.
SS Rajamouli the Jakkanna was expected to be a Tsunami but with absolute u-turn, the movie turned to be not so much grandeur regarding content. Visually it is good.
As expected Baahubali-The beginning did not hit the nail on the head. Touted to be the greatest movie of Indian Cinema is perfect example for over hype and absolute exaggeration. It was expected to gain praises from all quarters but failed.
Verdict: Visually good but not worth this much hype. Disappointing the audience, its just once watchable and that to exclusively only for the war scenes.
