Young hero Karthi and Sayesha Saigal have teamed up for an exciting film called Chinna Babu. Thr movie stars Satya Raj and Bhanu Priya in the principal roles. Suriya is the producer of the movie under 2D entertainments banner while Pandi Raj is the director of the film.
There are a lot of interesting aspects of the film, and the film revolves around a family drama. The film is said to be a realistic family drama that is about the farmers and their problems.
Story: Krishnam Raju (Karthi) is the son of Rudra Raju (Satya Raj). Krishnam Raju takes up agriculture as his profession and leads his life. On one day, he comes across Neela (Sayesha Saigal) and falls for her.
He proposes his love to her and also reveals that he want to marry her to his family members. Rudra Raju then places a condition for Krishnam Raju to marry Neela. What is the condition? Why did Rudra Raju put the condition? What happens then? Forms the story of the film.
Performances: Karthi and Sayesha Saigal acted as the lead pair in the movie, and they have given their best in the film. Karthi is good with his one-liners and generated a lot of fun through his character.
Sayesha Saigal also impressed with her looks as well as performance. Satya Raj delivered a remarkable performance in the movie and he shined in an impressive role. All the other actors have made their presence felt.
Technicalities: The camera work by Vel Raj is impressive. The editing is neat. The music scored by Imman is top notch. There are a lot of vital elements in the movie. The artwork is excellent. The dialogues are good. The proper care has been taken regarding the dubbing. The production values are grand.
Verdict: Chinna Babu is a realistic family drama laced with a lot of elements like fun, romance, family drama and a social message. The first half of the film is completely family oriented and has got some fun that keeps the audiences engaged. The story of the film is simple and the conflict that comes in the story is impressive.
The movie is all about a huge extended family and what happens when a conflict arises in the family. The director has executed the film properly and delivered the right output for targeted audiences. With the decent performances and grand technical output, the film is watchable and it has the scope to win at the box office.
