Story
Chitra(Anjali) is an assistant professor at Wesley University in Psychology and she stays in a working women's hostel. She attempts to complete a doctorate with thesis subject, Existence of ghosts and parapsychology. She tries to chase a dream and act as if she has a split personality showing interest on girls. She behaves abnormally and sexually harasses her hostel mates. As a result, many girls vacate the hostel. Dr. Neelakanta (Jaya prakash) tried to prove that Chitrangada has a split personality and her dreams do not have a meaning. Taking it up as a challenge, Chitrangada travels to USA to prove that the man killed in her dream does exist in real too. What happens next? What happened to Chitra? forms the rest of the story
Performances
Anjali gets a decent role and she stays true to her role. Her expressions in key scenes are apt . She looks sufficiently sensuous in many scenes. She does enough skin show with short skirts and in some scenes the camera does concentrate on her cleavage. Though Anjali gave a balanced act, this is not something her fans would like to see. Swathi Deekshith and Sakshi Gulati are the show stealers. Swathi Deekshith oozes her bit of glamour wherever required. Arjuna Bajwa is effective in the negative role.
Sudheer and Sapthagiri bring few laughs. Jaya Prakash and Raja Ravindra made their presence felt. Others performed according to their roles.
Technical
Selva - Swamy’s music is just above average. The background music is also not effective. Cinematography is substandard. Editing is below par and many scenes could have been easily trimmed. Many scenes are unnecessarily stretched and there are few drags here and there. The camera angles leave the audience irritated. Coming to the director Ashok G, he has did a routine job with his narration. The director has come up with an interesting story line but it is the execution that falters. Production values are top notch.

Analysis
Geethanjali has brought good recognition to Anjali. She received rave reviews for her performance in the film. Chitrangada is another horror film which was made to cash in on the craze of horror comedies and Anjali. Anjali's s star appeal is one of the major assets of the film. There is good glamour quotient in the film and Anjali looks sexy in short skirts. Some thrills during the first half of the film are executed well. The primary reason for the film to suffer is a weak script. The director's inexperience can be seen from the beginning. He has done a poor job with the narration. He could have easily got rid of many unwanted scenes in the film, and could have made the film more crispier.
Anjali on her part has tried her best to woo the audience with her glamour. She alone is the main attraction.
Final Verdict : Chitrangada may not appeal to all the audience but you can watch it once for its entertainment
