Story: The film is said to be an interesting thriller where Kumar (Santhanam) falls in love with Kajal (Anchal) who is an attractive women.
At a later point of time the relationship is threaten by the involvement of Kajal's father and it is also associated with some supernatural elements. What happens then forms the story of the film.
Performances: The lead actor Santhanam has delivered a decent performance in the movie. He is undoubtedly one of the reasons for the film getting positive response. His comic timing is perfect and the way he has showed variations in his character is impressive. The new comer Shanaya is also good in her role and has tried her best in emoting the performance in a decent level.
The film will be incomplete without mentioning Motta Rajendran. Motta Rajendran has added a lot of comedy to the second half of the movie and impressed everyone big time. He is certainly one of the actors to watch out for this film. The rest of the actors have made their presence felt.
Technical Aspects: The cinematography by Deepak Kumar is really impressive. The way he has come up with framing and lighting is too good. The night scenes were shot well.
The editing is sharp and neat. The music scored by Thaman is good and the background score he has provided has elevated the movie in right parts. The production values maintained by the makers are grand.
Verdict: The film Dhammunte Sommera has got an interesting story and the screenplay that was viewed around this story is good. The first half of the movie is great while the second half of the movie completely runs about the super natural elements.
The movie unfolds in an interesting manner and reveals the plot only at the interval point. The second half of the film has got a lot of interesting elements which would entertain the audiences in a big way.
The movie is certainly a feast to watch with Santhanam's comedy timing and horrifying supernatural elements. On the whole the film entertains audiences big time
