Dictator came with lot of hype and hysteria as this is Balayya Babu's 99th film. The first look, teaser, songs created much hype on the movie. Successful director Srivas apart from welding megaphone he produced this movie along with the prestigeous banner eros international. The film was sold for whopping amounts and has a gala release worldwide on Thursday.
Story:
The hero Chandu alias Chandrasekhar Dharma (Balakrishna) lives under a guise of a super market employee. He locks horns with the local MLA and has runs in with the baddies while saving Sonal Chouhan. What is the real story of simple-looking Chandu? What is the reason that made Dictator to become a simple man Chandu? how he beats up the baddies forms the rest of the story.
Performances
No beating around the bus. This film is an out and out Balakrishna film and he packs power in his punch and punch dialogues. For 'Gam Gam Ganesha..', 'Whatsapp baby' He danced very well and his action shows that he is a powerhouse of energy. The way he performs daring stunts shows age is just a number for him. In all departments, he gives a run for the money to most of the young heroes. As for Sonal and Anjali, they did decent job. Another scene-stealer is old warhorse Rati Agnihotri, who plays a lady villain. The other stars like Suman, Nasser, Giridhar, Raghubabu, Rajiv Kanakala,Vikram Virk etc did their bits. Among the comedians, Pruthvi outshines others.
Technical aspects
The film has peppy and punchy dialogues. The story is simple.. but the treatment and the screenplay are good. Director Srivas should be appreciated. The songs composed by Thaman are catchy and some have already become chartbusters. Background score by Chinna is an advantage. The technical wings have played their part admirably well. The cinematography is good and the editing is sleek.

The film is a commercial one with lot of entertainment sprinkled into it. The comedy track is also good and adds up to the whole movie. There is an item song too and it has twin bombs like Shraddha Das and Mumaith Khan.
Verdict
This is a feast for diehard Balayya fans... A Perfect Sankranthi Blockbuster.
