Actor Shivaji Raja’s son Vijay Raja’s is going to become a hero with a horror comedy 'Edaina Jaragochu'. K Ramakanth helmed this project. The expectations on the movie became doubled as Kollywood star Bobby Simha played a crucial role in this film. Sasha Singh played the female lead whereas Ajay Ghosh played vital role in the movie. Bankrolled by P. Sudarshan Hanagodu, the movie has finally made it to the theatres today on August 23rd 2019. It has been a long time since a horror comedy tested its luck at the box office. Let's see how far this movie will impress the audience.
Jay (Vijay Raja) is a greedy person who wants to earn money in most easiest ways. One day, he and his two friends mess up with a local gun powerful local goon, Kaali (Bobby Simha). The three friends tries to disturb Kaali and his personal life. Who is Kaali? Why the 3 friends want to disturb him? Can the three teenagers escape from a powerful goon Kaali? What happens next forms the rest of this story.
No need to mention that Bobby Simha is undoubtedly the show stealer of this film. The actor has delivered an amazing performance in the film and carried his role with so much of energy. With his rugged look and performance, Bobby Simha gave his 100% justice to the role. Sasha Singh who played the female lead for Bobby Simha looked beautiful and also delivered an honest performance in the film. She went under the skin of the character and did justice to the role he played. Vijay Raja doesn't have much importance in the film but his performance added more strength for the movie. The two actors who played the friend roles of Vijay Raja delivered decent performances in the movie. The rest of the actors Ajay Ghosh, Vennela Kishore etc also made their presence felt.
Director K Rama Kanth has picked an interesting concept for the film. The crime theme is handled well and he has narrated the story in a decent way and also gave a comic touch for most of the scenes. His screen play is also really engaging. It would have been good if he had maintained the same pace of narration as well. Some of the dialogues are penned well and are really catchy. Production values by P. Sudarshan Hanagodu are just average. Music by Srikanth Pendyala is worth appreciating. His background score added strength to the film. Though the songs are just average, his BGM is good. Cinematography is good and the visuals are excellent. Editing by A Vijay Reddy is clean.
Just like so many other horror comedies, 'Edaina Jaragochu' also doesn't have a proper story. But, the director cover it up with full-fledged entertainment. The movie starts off on an interesting note. The director tried to make the entire comedy funny and some of the scenes will definitely make the audience laugh. The interval twist is good. The second half is a little bit draggy but the director has somehow managed to engaged the audience with his narrations. Performances, comedy will be the plus points whereas story and some lengthy scenes will be the minus points. Overall, 'Edaina Jaragochu' is a watchable horror comedy which will give an entertaining ride for the audience.
