Story:
Sekhar (Tarakaratna) is an atheist and is a firm believer that no spirits exist. He works as a journalist and solves several mysterious cases. On the other hand, Yamini Chandra (Panchi Bora) is affected with some illusions. She experiences some paranormal activities. Sekhar decides to solve this mysterious case and moves into Yamini's house. He too experiences the same problems. What is the reason behind these paranormal activities ? What is that truth ? How does Sekhar solve all these problems ? You'd have to watch the film on big screen to find out the reasons.
Performances:
Nandamuri hero Taraka Ratna who did the main lead is bang on and he justifies his role.
He gave an excellent performance all through the film. He gave good expressions in mystery sequences and emoted well with utmost perfection. Panchi Bora impresses to an extent and looks good as well. Nasser and Suman did well in their roles. Others performed according to their roles.
Technical:
The basic story of Evaru is good but the biggest drawback of the film is the execution part. Music of the film is below par and background score too doesn't impress. Editing is very bad and the editor could have easily chopped off many logic less scenes. There is nothing much to talk about cinematography. Production values are also too bad and the graphic work in the film was not that nice to watch.

Analysis:
The entire credit should go to Taraka Ratna for carrying the film on his shoulder. Even though the story line of Evaru is good, the way the proceedings were executed is below average. Director Venkata Ramana Selva selected an interesting story line but fails in his execution. The film has so many illogical scenes and none of them make an impact. The film also moves at a snail's pace that many will lose interest and the audience can almost predict the twists that are about to come. But the film picks up during the climax. The film has surely some intriguing elements in climax. The last half an hour of the film will keep you on the edge of your seat. On the whole, except for some thrilling elements during the climaz, this film has nothing much to offer. But for those who like suspense thrillers, Evaru will make for a good watch.
