Gang is a latest film that is also gearing up in the theatres in a grand manner this festival season. Gang comes as a big surprise to everyone because no one expected that it would make into the Sankranthi race. UV Creations have brought the rights for the movie and they are betting high on this movie.
The film is directed by Vignesh Shivam who earlier made his debut with Nenu Rowdy Ne. Gang is the dubbed version of Tamil film Thaana Serndha Kootam which is actually a remake of Bollywood super hit film Special 26 starring Akshay Kumar in the lead role. Story: The movie is based on real incidents that took place in 1987. Tilak (Suriya), Bujjamma (Ramya Krishna) and three others form as a gang and perform fake CBI raids. What is the reason behind this? Why did the Gang form? Forms the story of the movie.
Performances: Performances wise, the film has everyone excelling in their roles. It starts with Surya Sivakumar. Surya played the lead role in the film and has impressed big time. He carried the movie on his shoulders and it is certainly a one man show from him. Keerthi Suresh who played the female lead also impressed in her part. The other actors like Ramya Krishnan, Karthik and Nanda have also played their roles well and impressed everyone. Casting wise, everyone has did their job very well and in the end, everyone made their presence felt.
Technical Aspects: Technically, the film is super strong. The cinematography by Dinesh Krishnan is decent. He confidently portrayed the film in an engaging and pleasant way. The cuts were sharp and the film was edited very well in a way that the audience will constantly get interest in the movie.
The music scored by Anirudh Ravichander is outstanding and the background he has put up for the film is amazing. The art work is impressive and the way the makers chose the locations is also good. The production values maintained by Studio Green Gnanavel Raja and the promotions taken care by UV Creations are grand.
Filmybuzz Analysis: Gang is another example of how an young director can deal a strong subject in an entertaining manner. Though the film runs a bit on serious note in Hindi version, the director has developed the script very well in an impressive manner and has come up with his way of modifications. The director tried to develop it to an extent that south audiences will like it for sure.
There are good performances from the lead actors and the main content of the film was also projected in a light hearted manner. When it comes to the audiences, the entertainment matters the most and this film Gang is one film that comes up with decent entertainment. With great performance and the decent technical output, the film Gang appeals to everyone and leaves a mark.
