Young hero Aadi is improving with every film of his. He dances well, emotes well and does the action scenes very well. So, the film carries with it lot of hype. Will Garam live up to the expectations and will it be another feather in Aadi’s cap? Let’s see.
Storyline:
Varala Babu (Aadi) is the only son of Rambabu (Tanikella Bharani). He is a happy-go-lucky guy who is not much into studies. His father scolds him for not being an achiever. One fine day, Varala Babu gets angry and leaves the home telling his parents that he would come back after becoming an achiever. He reaches Hyderabad. It was here that he falls in love with Sameera (Adah Sharma). He then tries to win her over. Then the interval comes with a bang and a big twist. Sameera gets into trouble with Biju (Kabir Duhan Singh). Who is Biju and why is he troubling Sameera? Will Varala Babu solve the problems and win over the girl. This in short is the storyline.
Performance:
Aadi for sure is improving by each film. He has given a very mature performance and showcased oodles of talent. His dances are excellent and his action scenes are very good. Despite being in a small role, Tanikella Bharani is impressive. Shakalaka Shankar and Madhu’s comedy track has worked out well. Adah Sharma is a letdown as for most of the film, she is seen in a burqa. She clearly fails to impress.
Technical:
The film has good production values. The cinematography is good. The music and the background score are barely above average. The director fumbles here and there, but overall, manages to weave the film well. The editing and the screenplay could have been better. There appeared scope for improvement.
Filmybuzz analysis:
The biggest drawback is the insipid story-line. The film isn’t racy. Barring a few moments, the second half fails to take off. As in most films, the villain’s role is sketchy and Nasser is wasted in his role. Yet another major asset of the film is senior actor Naresh as a dotting father. Despite some flashes of brilliance and some catchy scenes, the film on the whole fails to impress. The beginning and interval bang of the film are quite interesting and entertaining. Aadi's emoting is very impressive and the way he goes about his role, and portrays various emotions is quite brilliant. He has it in him to reach to the next level. Despite Aadi’s performance, the screenplay is unimpressive. It’s time Aadi looks for good scripts. Of course, the film has some plus points like interval scene, good cast and cilmax. Overall, Garam is definitely a film that the only mass audiences will thoroughly enjoy.
